Quite a long time ago, not long after a chiropractor designed this, through MY chiropractor I got the Stick. I believe this was long before they added rubber/plastic grip handles on the ends for more comfort. I have been using it off and on since I got it. I recently had a partial knee replacement. To my surprise, the most pain I was experiencing was behind my knee and up my hamstring into my glute. My non-surgical leg was also feeling some discomfort. I understand this was all due to my muscles getting retrained. I started using my stick 2-4x a day working on both legs as aggressively as I could, before each exercise period (2) and immediately after awaking in the morning. It has definitely helped loosen things up, helped reduce pain and enhance healing, as was my expectation. As I age, this has become even more important in my comfort, and I am anticipating I'll be using this almost daily from this point on. A few weeks ago I purchased a smaller, travel-size stick to take with me on a vacation. The size, weight, and quality is what I hoped for, and will easily find a place in my packs. When not on vacation, I'll keep both on active duty in different areas of our home. Oh, my wife also used these ... as do our sons with they visit. Probably Christmas presents, this year...
